Mr. Ryan is a Principal, Vice-President, and a Portfolio Manager of the firm. Prior to joining the firm in 1999, Mr. Ryan worked in several areas of the capital markets, including investment banking for SunTrust Equitable Securities Corporation, the successor company to Equitable Securities Corporation in Nashville, Tennessee. Prior to his tenure with SunTrust Equitable, Mr. Ryan worked in capital markets, including institutional fixed-income sales and trading for Lehman Brothers. Mr. Ryan earned the Chartered Financial Analyst designation in 2002 and was an instructor with a leading CFA preparatory organization. He is a past president of the CFA Society of Chattanooga. Mr. Ryan is a member of the Advisory Board for the UT Chattanooga College of Business and an Adjunct Professor of Finance. He is also a member of the American Economic Association. Mr. Ryan graduated from Princeton University (A.B., Economics, 1989) and Liverpool HS (NY).
