Principal, Vice President of Business Development
Clay Crumbliss is currently a Principal and Vice President of Business Development of Patten and Patten, Inc. Mr. Crumbliss previously obtained his Series 65 license and is currently a Registered Investment Adviser Representative of the firm.
Prior to joining Patten and Patten in 2002, Mr. Crumbliss was a Founder, Principal and the Chief Manager of SCC Golf Properties, LLC and Black Creek Club, LLC, which owns Black Creek Club. Prior to his involvement with Black Creek, Mr. Crumbliss spent 18 years in the textile business with his family-owned company, Henry Crumbliss Yarns; Macfield; and Unifi, Inc.
Mr. Crumbliss is currently a member of the Chattanooga Rotary Club and is currently co-chairing the Alumni Committee of the Forever Forward Capital Campaign for the Baylor School. Previously, he was a member of the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors of Friends of The Zoo (Chattanooga Zoo) from 2014-2017 and also served as Chairman the Banana Ball and Banana Split (The Chattanooga Zoo’s largest fundraisers) from 2012-2016. He also chaired The ALS Everyday Heroes Gala (benefiting ALS research) in 2012 and 2013. Mr. Crumbliss served as a Commissioner of Lookout Mountain, TN; as President of Lookout Mountain Fairyland Club; as a member of the Board of Directors of Lookout Mountain Golf Club; as President of the Chattanooga Chapter – Washington and Lee University Alumni Association (Chapter of The Year 2001 – 2002); and as Co-Chair of his 25th Reunion Class.
