Chairman and CEO, Portfolio Manager
W.A. Bryan Patten, CFA, CIC is a Founder, CEO, Chairman and a Portfolio Manager of the firm.
Prior to the founding of Patten and Patten in 1976, he worked as Vice President and Chief Investment Officer at Hamilton National Bank in Chattanooga. Mr. Patten currently serves on the board of directors of The Stadium Corp., having previously served as Chairman of The Stadium Corp. for more than 10 years. Over the course of his business career, Mr. Patten has served as a director of The Krystal Company and Krystal Holdings, Inc., as well as a director of Chattem, Inc. Mr. Patten has also served as a member of the Cornell University Council, a trustee of The Baylor School, a member of the University of Tennessee Development Council, and a member of the Board of Trustees of the University of Chattanooga Foundation.
Mr. Patten served for two years as an Infantry Lieutenant, including seventeen months with the Third Infantry Division in Wilflecken, German. Mr. Patten graduated from Cornell University, B.A. History, in 1962. He later earned his Charter Financial Analyst designation in 1970 and his Chartered Financial Counselor designation in 1984.
